Russian 5 Course

This level is for students that speak Russian freely and spontaneously, and for the most part accurately. They already have reading and writing skills, as well as background cultural knowledge. At this stage the students will improve their knowledge of Russian grammar, word-formation, and vocabulary and stylistics, as well as refine pronunciation and communicative skills.

At this level, students will be able to describe sports, healthy lifestyles, and animals; talk about art; hold a conversation about nature and the world around them; describe vacations; express an opinion about environmental protection; use the conditional mood; use verbs with passive meanings in speech; make complex sentences with conjunctions; use constructions expressing obligation, necessity, possibility and potential; and use conversational speech cliches and idioms.
