Minerva Baccalaureate: Online High School

For ambitious learners who want to elevate and accelerate their academic experience.

Active Online Learning

No lectures or exams here. Research overwhelmingly proves that active learning is better than lecture. Our students learn by engaging.

Students are better off in small classes. Our maximum section size is 20 students.

All classes are discussion-based. We know peer instruction is greater than rote memorization. That’s why our students work extensively with their peers in small groups.

A Superior Cross-Disciplinary

Interdisciplinary synthesis leads to deep understanding. Our teachers are specially trained to teach across disciplines and monitor students’ ability to transfer knowledge to new contexts.

Our core curricula are aligned with national standards. And, a unique Personal Skills track addresses critical maturational competencies rarely addressed in high school.

Optional fourth-year Cornerstone courses provide a college-prep experience and transferable college credit.

Report Cards In Real Time

Watch a live demonstration of this science-backed program and collaborative student experience.

Our tech platform Forum was designed from the ground up to specifically support active learning education.

There is no “back row” to our classrooms. All students speak up. Advanced assessment tools allow teachers to provide focused feedback on specific learning outcomes, while data-driven progress reports give students unprecedented insight into their own learning.

New Standards Of Quality

The Minerva Baccalaureate is exciting and demanding, with 90% of learners engaged over 90% of the time in a debate format. Projects and discussions are on relevant topics, and help students build the skills that are most valuable in life and work with the tools necessary to be an effective change agent. This is not about cramming for multiple choice quizzes, it’s real feedback on real work in real time.

We want to reimagine the high school curriculum and teach young people how to think and instill quality decision making.
